I wasn’t really looking forward to do anything on mother’s day. I was always tired from all the house chores and looking after a toddler so I just wanted to have a day off to relax. I was thinking of spending the day watching movies with my family while munching on a bowl of popcorn. But hey, things don’t always go as planned.
I was invited by SM Supermalls to watch the Legally Blind Mall Tour at SM City Bacoor. To be honest, I had no idea what the show was all about. I had to ask my friend about it so I’d have the slightest idea about its story. I didn’t like watching teleseryes during the day and at night, I’d rather just watch the news. As much as I’d like to stay at home and relax, who would say no to a free pass to see celebrities up close, right? Also, this was my first event to attend to as a mommy blogger and I wanted to grab the opportunity to add to my experience.
The Legally Blind Mall Tour was set to start at 5PM at the SM City Bacoor Events Area. We were already there by 3:30PM. I wanted to get there earlier because I thought we would be sitting with the audience. Imagine my shock when the SM representative who welcomed us told me we would be sitting just beside the stage! I was calm, but in my mind, I was going like ‘woooow, this is unbelievable! I never thought I’d get this close to local celebrities!’ Since we were early at the venue, I was talking to my sister about how I’m not really that excited because I wasn’t really familiar with the show. But when we heard the crowd screamed once the celebrities entered the events area, my heart started beating really fast!
When they came out one by one to perform, I couldn’t keep sitting on my place. It’s kind of hard to watch from the sides, you know. Hehe. So I got up and went in front of the stage. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be because there is a railing between the audience and the authorized people to be in front so I had no problem taking snapshots of these people.
Legally Blind’s main cast consists of Janine Gutierrez who plays Grace and is the main leading lady in the serye. She is an overachiever at school, she is kind and well-loved by her family and friends. There’s also Lauren Young who plays Charie, the younger sister of Grace, who is really jealous of her sister. Then there’s Rodjun Cruz who plays Joel, he used to be Grace’s (Janine Gutierrez) boyfriend but later on started dating Charie (Lauren Young). There’s Mikael Daez who plays Edward, a fine young man with big dreams and a sense of responsibility. And then there’s Marc Abaya who plays William, Edward’s (Mikael Daez) older brother who is often associated with bad group of friends.
The actors performed one by one and later on, they went on stage all together to promote their show. The audience were really hyped up as they were all very excited to see these actors personally. They are probably the ones who watch the show daily because they even get carried away during the mall tour. Hehe.
After all their performance, they thanked all those who are supporting their show and invited everyone else to keep on watching. I wasn’t really paying attention because I was busy staring at these celebrities. It was a cool experience for me to see them up close, like really close walking in front of me with only 3-5 inches space between us. I kept thinking, ‘wow, they’re just like ordinary people too!‘ haha.
Anyway, after the mall tour, my sister and I headed straight to SM Molino and met up with my husband and baby boy to end the mother’s day with a dinner.
A big thanks to SM Supermalls for this awesome experience and I am looking forward to witness more events in your malls! My mother’s day was well-spent and it was truly enjoyable to experience something I don’t get to do on an ordinary day.
